You Are Here MUX (aka yahMUX) is a multi-genre game that takes place in a modern-day setting in a world that's very much like the one we've come to know. There are no flying cars, no alien technology and no magic; instead the world is as it always is, and people are oblivious to the things that stir in the shadows. The strange, the weird and the awesomely unique instill fear in the hearts of mortal men, and most people 'gifted,' both those native to this world and those who find themselves mysteriously thrust into it, wonder just how long they have before they're found out by someone--anyone--and taken away.

The MUX takes place in a fictional mid-western US coastal town of Midgard, a city with a past filled with both triumph and tragedy, and its ability to pull through the destruction and rise once more, and home to the ever-enigmatic M.O.T.H.E.R. Unit, a massive and impressive super computer that maintains city ordinance and other intricate functions deep beneath the city itself. A thriving metropolis that boasts a healthy population of roughly 400,000 citizens, each of diverse ethnic backgrounds. Surrounding the heart of downtown Midgard are both Espera county, a rural, quiet college town and Helmsley Beach, a ripe tourist attraction during just about all times of the year. Each city has its share of unique history and secrets...but most people don't realize it.

You Are Here MUX is a game intended for mature, serious roleplayers.
